How we check facts
Every document, fee, time limit and officer on this site is copied from an official state portal, checklist PDF, Act or Rules, linked on the guide with the date we checked it. If we cannot confirm a fact on an official page, we leave it out or write "Not published by the state".
Which sources we use
- Official state service portals, such as Aaple Sarkar in Maharashtra, and the fee, procedure and checklist PDFs they publish.
- The state's notified list of services and time limits under its Right to Services law.
- The Act and Rules themselves, from an official government website, for appeal deadlines and forms.
We do not take facts from forums, news stories, blogs, agents' or cyber cafe websites, or other directories. Real stories from people may be used only as examples, never as the source of a rule.
How a fact gets onto a page
- We open the official page or PDF and read the exact document, fee, time limit or officer.
- We link that exact page on the guide and record the date we checked it.
- If two official pages disagree, we show both and say which page says what.
- If the state does not publish a fact, the guide says "Not published by the state" or leaves it out.
Each guide shows a "Last checked" date under its title and lists every official source at the bottom.
How pages are written
Pages are researched and drafted with help from AI tools. Every document, fee, time limit and officer is then matched against the linked official source before it is published, and anything that cannot be matched is cut. Appeal templates follow the fields of the official forms, with blanks for you to fill in.
Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, open an issue at https://github.com/rudracodeshere/certificate-guide-india/issues. We check the official source, fix the page and update its "Last checked" date. Every change to the site is public in the commit history. Issues are public, so do not post personal details there.
