About these calculators
Free calculators for people who sell online: Etsy makers, Shopify store owners, eBay and Poshmark resellers, Amazon sellers and freelancers. Each one answers a single money question, such as what a platform takes from a sale, what to charge, or whether an ad is paying for itself.
Who makes them
The site is made by Quiet Profit Sheets, a small independent maker of spreadsheet tools for sellers. We are not affiliated with Etsy, Shopify, eBay, Amazon, PayPal, Stripe, Gumroad, Poshmark or any other company named on these pages. The calculators are free and need no signup. Our paid product is the Seller Profit Sheet, a one-time $14 spreadsheet that runs the same math across a whole sales export.
How the numbers are worked out
- Everything runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored.
- Fee rates are US defaults and are editable. Platforms change their fees, and rates differ by country, category and plan. Every rate a calculator uses can be changed on the page, and the small print under each tool says which rates it assumes and when they were last checked.
- Every worked example is tested. Each page's example numbers are checked automatically in a real browser whenever the site is rebuilt, so the figures in the text match what the calculator shows.
- Rounding: money is shown to the cent. Platforms sometimes round differently, so a result can be a cent off from your statement.
Where the fee rates come from
Rates are taken from each platform's own fee pages and cross-checked against recent seller guides. When sources disagree, the calculator uses the most commonly published rate, says so in its notes, and lets you enter your own. Always confirm against the official page for your account:
- Etsy fees & payments policy
- Shopify pricing
- eBay selling fees
- Amazon selling fees
- PayPal business fees
- Stripe pricing
- Gumroad pricing
Not financial or tax advice
These tools are estimates to help you price and plan. They leave out income tax, and sales tax or VAT unless a page says otherwise. For tax questions, talk to an accountant in your country.
