Is my certificate late? Maharashtra Right to Services date calculator

Last checked: 26 October 2026

For anyone in Maharashtra waiting on an income or domicile certificate.

Enter the date your complete application was received. For a Maharashtra income or domicile certificate, the time limit is 15 days. The calculator shows the due date, the day a first appeal becomes possible, and the last day to file it. Every rule it uses is listed below with its source.

How to use it

  1. Pick the certificate you applied for.
  2. Enter the date on your acknowledgement, when the complete application was received.
  3. If you have already filed a first appeal, enter that date too.
  4. Read your dates. Each line names the rule it comes from.

When can I appeal if my certificate is late?

In Maharashtra you can file a first appeal once the 15 day time limit has passed without the certificate or a written rejection. The appeal must be filed within 30 days of the limit running out. A late appeal can be admitted for sufficient cause, up to 90 days.

Which certificate did you apply for?

Use the date on your acknowledgement. The time limit counts from when the complete application is received.

Calendar days. The Act does not say whether the days are working days, so the calculator counts calendar days. If your last day falls on a holiday, file early. This is a counting aid, not legal advice.

Documents, fees and the appeal form are in the income certificate guide and the domicile certificate guide. For how time limits work in general, see certificate time limits in India.

Caste certificates are not in the calculator yet, because official pages give two time limits, 21 and 45 days. The caste certificate guide shows both and the appeal dates that fit both.

Quick answers

Does the calculator count working days?

No. It counts calendar days, because the Act does not say the days are working days.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. The dates stay in your browser. The page counts visits with GoatCounter, which sets no cookies and does not receive the dates you type.

Which certificates does it cover?

Maharashtra income and Age, Nationality and Domicile certificates, both with a 15 day time limit.
